Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using RetirePlanner.ca (the "Service"), operated by RetirePlanner.ca ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By accessing or using RetirePlanner.ca, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and RetirePlanner.ca.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
RetirePlanner.ca is a retirement planning calculation tool designed for Canadian residents. It allows you to model year-by-year retirement projections, estimate tax obligations, analyse estate scenarios, and compare different retirement strategies based on inputs you provide.
The Service is designed for residents of the following Canadian provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. Tax calculations, benefit estimates, and estate rules are based on publicly available Canadian federal and provincial legislation and may not reflect your personal circumstances.
The Service is a planning tool, not professional advice. Calculations are estimates based on the data you provide and general rules. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
RetirePlanner.ca offers two plans:
| Plan | Price | Features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 CAD | 1 saved retirement scenario; basic dashboard |
| Premium | $5/month CAD or $44/year CAD | Unlimited saved scenarios; all features including scenario comparison, estate planning, AI insights, and detailed reporting |
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where required.
New Premium subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No payment is charged during the trial period. At the end of the 7-day trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid Premium plan and you will be billed at the applicable rate (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you selected), unless you cancel before the trial ends.
To avoid being charged, you must cancel your subscription before the trial period ends. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
Free trial eligibility is limited to one trial per person. Creating a new account to obtain additional trials is a violation of these Terms.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the applicable rate until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods already charged. If you cancel a monthly plan mid-month, or an annual plan mid-year, you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of that period.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will be communicated by email to affected subscribers at least 30 days in advance.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RetirePlanner.ca regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
